Still Christmas Madne$$

People are so crazy!!!

By now I should have learned my lesson that waiting until the last minute to complete my Christmas shopping is still not a good idea. There's just something about procrastination that keeps calling me like crack! LOL! Something inside me must like the hustle and bustle of the last minute rush.

So once again I find myself out in the last minute Christmas rush shopping like a mad woman! What's funny is every year I have to make the same announcement about getting bumped. Why do people bump into you and not say "excuse me" or even acknowledge that they've bumped you? Is this just a west coast thing? Are you all in the southern/eastern states safe from this rudeness? I guess this is one of the problems about being short and cute. ; ) I'm assuming my near Oompa Loompa status also makes me invisible!

 Again... People are crazy.

I'm sure I've explained this before, but every single year I have to make an announcement. It's a very simple but effective one. Very loudly you exclaim "IF I GET BUMPED ONE MORE (expletive if necessary depending on the crowd) TIME!" That's pretty much it. I guess the impending threat of what is not said is enough because people usually steer clear!

I guess then they are looking at me like I'M Crazy *shrugs* All I'm trying to do is buy some dang gifts! Give me some @#&@%;$ space!

1. I follow a tumblr that shows beautiful pictures of bodies of water. I really like it and reblog many of the pictures. I guess it’s the Pisces in me to love water like I do. I could hug it I love it so much! LOL!

2. So I thought the phrase was "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?" There are these commercials on about calling a number if you see certain activity.  So now they want you to tell? *scratches head in confusion*

3. It’s almost here!! It’s almost here!! Ya’ll ready?? CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  WHOOO HOOOOO!! What are your color schemes this year? I’m still trying to make this black sequins and gold happen. #mightdontmakeit

4. I keep forgetting that Christmas is on a Sunday. I still haven’t bought my dress. I’m supposed to be going to church that day. I was super excited at first, but as it draws nearer I forget. Shame on me.

5. I was so upset when they played the preview for ANOTHER Devil movie! UGH!!! That mess scares me!

6. I feel like my city is at war with itself. People have lost their minds!!  There is so much shooting and crime in the bay right now.  It’s just sad and scary. Two young children have died from gunshots. People are being robbed in parking lots. Some crimes happening in broad daylight  It’s CRAZY!

7. So how do you handle when the temperatures drop into the 40’s during the night? I hate being cold when I peek my head from under the covers or have to get up.

8. Cake cake cake cake cake cake cake cake cake cake. Name that tune! Do you like it? What songs are you currently playing?

9. I watched the finale of America’s Next Top Model last week and Angelea had won! She won y’all Yaay her!! But I was disappointed to learn that they took her win from her because she Facebook’d that she won. I’m not sure who I’m angrier at, ANTM for that stupid re-taped whack finale or Angelea for being so dumb!

10. The Obama Chia pet has me so disturbed! Where is the respect?

I took a trip over to P.S. I love this blog and she had a post up about some uber fabulous YSL shoes. That post inspired me.  She has  such exquisite tastes...just check out her blog! We like so many of the same things. I told her that I am in love with the YSL statement rings. She has one, and is thinking of purchasing another.  She told me to treat myself. I think that's a really good idea! From time to time everyone should treat themselves to the things they think are beautiful!

Santa could also recheck his list and decide to gift me with one also! LOL! While perusing the site I saw a few other swoon worthy items that I liked.

I really need a lottery to payoff or a man with unlimited funding to find me soon. LOL! Because I want EVERYTHING!

1. We are I am trying to put together a seafood Christmas again this year.  Last year my mom made the best gumbo ever! It was so good . I would like a repeat of that or at least to enjoy crab in a wonderful way. Both my sister and I are super scary. Why are we considering going to the docks to get LIVE crabs to cut down on cost and get the most for our bucks?? The idea is hilarious. Can you just imagine two women at a dock hollering trying to get some live crabs in a cooler and carry them somewhere? LOLOL!

2. I tried to let this roll off like the other snide, sideways remarks/behavior but I can't. I get annoyed when people stop by my blog then take what they see or read here and talk about it on twitter negatively or in a ridiculing way. I have a level of respect for the blogs I comment on regularly and actually liked the bloggers, well as much as you can "like" somebody you don't know....you get a vibe about who's cool. Well I see times are a changing. Being unnecessarily mean is SO not cute. What is unattainable to you may be attainable to the next person. That said, if I want a thousand dollar pair of shoes, a purse, an Infiniti or whatever...that’s me doing Me. Nobody is knocking what you like. There’s space for us all. I guess my mistake was not clicking unfollow when you did.

3. I watch Love and Hip Hop. Yes, I do! I have a confession about it but I might get too many side eyes so I will keep it to myself. Anywhoo, they all say “At the end of the day” entirely too much on this show. I thought it was isolated but I swear in the last 2 weeks I have heard that phrase SO many times on so many reality shows I’m about to scream if I hear it again. Oddly, I wanted to say it in#2 but resisted! LOL!

4. I can’t believe I’ve been out of my relationship with theCaptain for a year. I would like to do more posts about my dating life, but to be honest right now it’s just not that exciting. I’m really not that pressed for a new relationship just yet. I am being open tho. Besides, I can’t make my stories sound as exciting as K Rock or MrsTDJ make their stories. These ladies can spin a tale like wow! LOL!  Check them out!

5. School is quickly approaching and I am starting to get nervous. I will basically be a student all of 2012 relying mostly on financial aid to live. I do plan to get some type of part time gig on campus, but in order to get this school thang knocked out I plan to go hard with a full load. What’s great is they have a PhD program I’m considering too, so I may be a student in 2013...2014...Geez! LOL!

6. I caressed, massaged, stroked, petted, rubbed and fondled the iPhone 4S while I was in the S.print store with a friend and it was absolutely wonderful. This is that one!  I must have it! My contract is up in February at A.T&T so yeah!

7. Are you a Se.phora Bea.uty In.sider? Did you get your $15 coupon? Have you noticed how every year they raise the amount of purchase? Before, you could just spend $15 and get something and it was practically free. Last year you had to spend $40 and this year you have to spend $50. *shakes fist at Sep.hora but still buys something* By the way... this is the perfect time to purchase your replacement brushes for your Claris.onic if you have one. : )

8. As smart as Amber is on Parenthood why didn’t she get into CAL?? The way that storyline ended was just… I mean seriously?!? She could have lived at home and driven to school to remain a part of the show or live how she's living now. The writers are so stupid for that. I held my breath during the storyline about Max and what Christina did is just WOW! I don’t think I could have done what she did regarding the receptionist. Your thoughts?

9. Seen and Heard- People on Tumblr are equally as crazy as the folks on Twitter. This gif!!!!!!!!!! is straight shade! LOLOLOLOL! It's so funny to me because I do it too!

In My Ears.....

 Recently somebody (K Rock )said I was "so Cali" because of a song. The first song actually. That cracked me up! I guess  I am Cali. I think Too Short's  music slaps. I throw up West side as needed, and if necessary I will Crip walk on you! LOL! Here's a few joints that are decidedly Cali and specifically Bay! Yeeeee( bay yell) See how I got all Bay on y'all. LOL!

Christmas Wish/Want/Get List 2011

 
It's the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR again, and once again I'm participating in Christmas in Blogworld on Pserendipty's blog! YAY!

I love that Christmas comes every year! It's the greatest time ever to gather with friends and family. 
I’m giving my list to my fam again... and watch them get me whatever the heck they want! LOL!

I've wanted these chucks for a while. They're cute, different, and I like to be different. These are nice too!

This beautiful, classic, wool cashmere trench coat from J Crew is everything! I fell so deeply in love at first sight!

Who doesn't love a beautiful bag? This Kate Spade Fox Chapel Shari is simply divine! I enjoy a good fabric bag, and she does them the best.

Philosophy's Amazing Grace Line is still suiting my fancy. The body wash, lotion etc. smells so pretty!

It's time to replace my Clarasonic. They have such great fashionable colors and patterns now. I must have this. 

A gift card from Pier 1, Amazon, Sephora  or Macy's would be GREAT toward the purchase of anything! I always have things in my shopping carts. ALWAYS! :)

I would be thrilled to get Just Dance 3 for Wii  from B.est B.uy, so I can get the extra K.aty Pe.rry tracks! Yes, I will be getting my dance on!

Thoughtfully...Thought-Out....Thursday...Thoughts #55

1. Thanksgiving was so good! The most of the food was a success. If you noticed, my mac & cheese went from six cheeses to three this year because cheese is expensive! I used sharp cheddar and the other cheeses were hardly missed except by me.  I really don’t like sharp cheddar. I really don't!

2. Whoever invented condensed milk needs a medal. I can’t sing its praises enough!

3. We arrived at my mother’s and she had set the table and pulled out the GOOD china!  LAWD!! It’s been a loooooong time since I’ve eaten on the GOOD china! And I didn’t!  The good china can’t be microwaved. I likes my food extra hot. Click here to see a few of our delectables! LOL!

4. I SOMETIMES HAVE A FLARE FOR THE DRAMATIC! I feel like pulling out my bongos and beating them through the streets screaming CHRISTMAS IS HERE!!! in my best Will Smith as Muhammad Ali voice! The Champ is here!

5. Speaking of Christmas, I would like an exotic, glamourous Christmas this year! Black sequined and black glitter Christmas bulbs, gold snakeskin wrapping paper, twinkling tiny white lights. I’m excited to make this happen.

6. Jonah Hill as a comedic actor is very entertaining to me. P.S. I LOVE THIS has me watching Allen Gregory and he is completely hilarious as a 7 year old going on 47. His new movie The Sitter trailer tickles me every time the little girl says, “I let my haters be my motivators.” EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! White people using black colloquialisms is just funny to me in general.

7. My mother’s husband passed away a few years back. She grieved awhile and is now interested in trying online dating because a few of her friends have had success. I just don’t know how I feel about it. However, my sister has already set up her profile on a site. Did they not hear me…I said I don’t know how I feel about it yet! 

8. If you received your entire salary in one lump sum at the beginning of the year, do you think you could successfully live from it without running out of money?

9. Every fall/winter I try to think of new ways to make my bed more lavish, warm and comfortable. I think I need a heated mattress pad.

10. I love it when I see a father opening doors and pulling out chairs for his daughter. It warms my heart. Awww!

  

11. Can I just say that I am absolutely THRILLED that it is Dungeness crab season, thrilled I say! Twirling dancing, jigging, thrilled! I enjoy crab that much!! YUM!
