Happy Sunday Everybody!
I took a look on blogger and realized many people view the Sunday posts. Some posts have 0 comments but 250 views!! This makes me very happy! :)
I really do love God and I'm happy to be able to use this blog to share songs and scriptures about him.
*sings* All I am... is a nobody telling somebody about you... By nobody I mean just a regular person in this big ole world talkin' bout Jesus. LOL! Enjoy the song.

In My Ears - Tevin Campbell
I recently had the enjoyment of watching A Low Down Dirty Shame again. This movie has always been hilarious to me. The ending credits featured this first song by Tevin Campbell. I said Heeeeeeey and started dancing. This song was definitely a slept on jam by him. I then thought to myself that I'd feature him in an In My Ears post.
Here are a few songs I enjoyed by Mr. Tevin Campbell. He had such a great voice! I think drugs got him but I hope he is doing well. oops thanks Keyalus! And of course Round and Round which K Rock pointed out is in the opening song to Top Chef.

In My Ears..... Atlantic Starr
Have you ever had a song that moved you? I mean like every time you hear it it just does something to you. One such groups songs for me is Atlantic Starr. I like all types of music but lately I've been reaching back to the old school classics of my childhood.
My family was all about get togethers, parties, and family gatherings and music was a central part of each event. Looking back at the pictures from the those times always cracks me up. The clothes, the cars, those hats. My peeps were fancy! Hahahaha!
Anywhoo, I remember hearing some of these songs and they had absolutely no meaning to me then, but now???? *fans self* Imagine your mom or aunt slow draggin (I don't even know why I used that term) or groovin in the corner with the one they loved to these songs. This is Grown Folks music and I feel so grown listening to it. Real love songs! Songs about loving, longing and want, not just about sex like the music today.
Here's a list of a few of my favorites in the order of like. I'm so glad we have stations that continue to play good music like this. Pause the music player and have a listen.
Side bar: Dudes hair on the Touch a Four Leaf Clover cover. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahhaha!

In My Ears - SWV
90's girl group SWV released a new single awhile back after a looooong hiatus (leelee), a solo gospel career (Coko) and a stint on reality TV (Taj).
I really used to love SWV. Everyone has a soundtrack to their lives and SWV was definitely a part of mine. Do you like the new song? Do they sound the same? What'cha think?

In My Ears.....
Recently somebody (K Rock )said I was "so Cali" because of a song. The first song actually. That cracked me up! I guess I am Cali. I think Too Short's music slaps. I throw up West side as needed, and if necessary I will Crip walk on you! LOL! Here's a few joints that are decidedly Cali and specifically Bay! Yeeeee( bay yell) See how I got all Bay on y'all. LOL!
