Let's revisit Christmas one mo gan

A couple of years ago my cousin was feeling really generous and decided to buy everyone Christmas gifts. My aunt was so proud of her. This particular cousin is a taker. She lives a really wonderful affluent life but she is the type that always gets gifts and expects good gifts but NEVER gives. So her actually buying somebody else something was a BIG deal. 

On Christmas day these beautifully (and I mean BEAUTIFUL) gift wrapped boxes sat under my aunts tree until after Christmas dinner. Everyone was so excited to see what my cousin had gotten them. All she had talked about was that it was something we could use and something that we would definitely enjoy. This peaked my interest only slightly.  I KNOW this girl she’s cheap and selfish sooooo…… umm....yeah… 

Back to the story.  

The big day arrived. We had eaten dinner and my Aunt started handing out her gifts like she does every year and then we each have our turn.  My cousin’s turn rolled around and she started handing out her gifts. She wanted everybody to open the gift at the same time so we did. And this is what we received.

I couldn't help it. She had to be joking right? This was a gag gift right? 


IT WASN'T!

Are you kidding me? She bought us all some shoes at the beauty supply store?? THE BEAUTY SUPPLY!!!! Those shoes would probably tear up after one wearing. I've seen some hood chicks flip flopping around in them, but I personally wouldn’t be caught wearing a pair EVER! I think they would make my feet itch like I have athletes foot. LOL! My aunt told me, “well you could’ve worn them as house-shoes.” No ma’am!

Can I just say you are AWESOME!!!

I totally knew it was you Beautifully Complex! LOL! When you started following me on Twitter a few weeks before Christmas, and I saw your handle on the Secret Santa list I KNEW!! I said to myself "Oh Lawd, this woman is going to see how cray I can be" LOL!

I first thanked you on Twitter because you are a follower but it was brought to my attention that since I don't follow you (because you're private), you may or may not have gotten my thank you tweet. I'm not sure how that could be but...

In case you missed my twitter message it said

Dear Secret Santa, Please don't think it strange that I waited until Christmas to open your gift. It's just more thrilling that way. I am super excited about the gifts you gave me!!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!! Thank you!! ☺☺☺!!!

Thank you for sticking to the list with the Amazing Grace! Of course I smell AMAZING! Also I'm not sure HOW you knew I would like those earrings, but I LOVE them!  I'm a hoop girl and those are IT!

People are so crazy!!!

By now I should have learned my lesson that waiting until the last minute to complete my Christmas shopping is still not a good idea. There's just something about procrastination that keeps calling me like crack! LOL! Something inside me must like the hustle and bustle of the last minute rush.

So once again I find myself out in the last minute Christmas rush shopping like a mad woman! What's funny is every year I have to make the same announcement about getting bumped. Why do people bump into you and not say "excuse me" or even acknowledge that they've bumped you? Is this just a west coast thing? Are you all in the southern/eastern states safe from this rudeness? I guess this is one of the problems about being short and cute. ; ) I'm assuming my near Oompa Loompa status also makes me invisible!

 Again... People are crazy.

I'm sure I've explained this before, but every single year I have to make an announcement. It's a very simple but effective one. Very loudly you exclaim "IF I GET BUMPED ONE MORE (expletive if necessary depending on the crowd) TIME!" That's pretty much it. I guess the impending threat of what is not said is enough because people usually steer clear!

I guess then they are looking at me like I'M Crazy *shrugs* All I'm trying to do is buy some dang gifts! Give me some @#&@%;$ space!

It's the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR again, and once again I'm participating in Christmas in Blogworld on Pserendipty's blog! YAY!

I love that Christmas comes every year! It's the greatest time ever to gather with friends and family. 
I’m giving my list to my fam again... and watch them get me whatever the heck they want! LOL!

The list:

I've wanted these chucks for a while. They're cute, different, and I like to be different. These are nice too!

This beautiful, classic, wool cashmere trench coat from J Crew is everything! I fell so deeply in love at first sight!

Who doesn't love a beautiful bag? This Kate Spade Fox Chapel Shari is simply divine! I enjoy a good fabric bag, and she does them the best.

Philosophy's Amazing Grace Line is still suiting my fancy. The body wash, lotion etc. smells so pretty!

It's time to replace my Clarasonic. They have such great fashionable colors and patterns now. I must have this. 

A gift card from Pier 1, Amazon, Sephora  or Macy's would be GREAT toward the purchase of anything! I always have things in my shopping carts. ALWAYS! :)

I would be thrilled to get Just Dance 3 for Wii  from B.est B.uy, so I can get the extra K.aty Pe.rry tracks! Yes, I will be getting my dance on!

The list above contains my wants and gets. I saved my wishes for last this year!  Oh how I wish for...!

A Christmas in review:

Christmas dinner was a success! Everyone enjoyed the food and my mother's gumbo was screaming!!!

I ended up decorating with silver, gold and white. How classic is that! It was very cute with the white twinkling lights and white stockings, gold bulbs and assorted silver accents! Kind of elegant. LOL!

On to the gifts!!
My mother?? Sometimes she surprises me! I guess I was a good daughter this year. She felt like I needed new cookware. Even though I already have KitchenAid cookware But I guess you can never have too many pots!! She also bought me another microwave! because something happened to my first one.

My sister bless her heart! She's a bite rrr and took my gifting "my favorite things" Op.rahs idea but anywhooo she bought me some booty shorts and a burnout tank! Gotta love her for that. LOLOLOLOLOL! and her favorite nail polish and lashes.

My bestie, she knows I like to eat and gave me a gift card to Kincaids in Jack London Square. I'm so excited about this! Mmmmmmm!! I love the wings yep I said wings at this steak house, one of the yummy salads and the creme brulee. Annnnnnnnnnnnd she got me the big Amazing Grace Body Wash!! It smells so good. I can't wait to get the body lotion.

My favorite Aunt gave me a gift card for Ma.cy's. I have enough for my watch, but guess what?? It sold out at Ma.cy's!! Why did the watch I wanted sell out??? Really Ma.cy's! *BIG HUGE SAD FACE : (
But I'm considering This One! Which is very similiar. What's missing are the numbers. I like watches with numbers.

I bought the Aldo necklace for myself because it went on sale and I didn't want it to sell out. Which it now has!

I LOVE the grocery store because they sell all types of giftcards now.We did secret santa in my family and my cousins gave me gift card for Bloomingdales!! I can buy my new lunch bag or put it toward my rainboots!
I have to purchase the purse and both pair of boots myself this year. Dang it! LOL!!! Oh well! I knew that!

There are a few people in my FAM that I haven't seen yet so I'll be getting more gifts but overall I had a very Merry Christmas!! I Hope YOU Did Too!!!

My Secret Santa sent me a rhyming poem and my gift and I still had no clue who it was.
