Gorgeous Ponderings...

It's Sunday How bout a scripture and a song?

When everything is going crazy all around you why is it so hard to continue to trust God?? At least that's how it is for me! I have faith!  I really do! But my faith continuously waivers when the fiery trials come. I think why is this happening to me? I would like to be more consistent in my pray life and be able to keep praising God even when everything is going wrong.

This weeks scripture reminds me that no matter what I face that God has a good plan for my life even if I can’t see it sometimes.

KJ Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

NIV Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

A lot of people don't like Kirk Franklin but I do! Many of his songs are about  praising through the pain, through the trial, and are reminders that God has NOT forgotten you even if that's what it feels like!
He has many catchy uplifting songs that I BUMP in my car as I get it on down the road. LOL!

Please pause the music player below, click the link and join me in the party this week as we jam to Kirk Franklin.

Do you have any praise songs that lift your spirit during the down times?

P.S. I love this... said...

Totally understand that.. But for me, instead of dwelling on the "woe is me", I have a change of mind, which helps me change my spirit from, "why me or why not me?" to focusing on what I'm thankful for and usually it brings me to tears because in the grand scheme of things, I know and feel very blessed. I know it gets challenging at times to try and maintain a thankful disposition and during those times, I like to listen to my fav gospel song, Your Steps Are Ordered.. and I feel much better. =)

Wishing you bliss and blessings. *hugs*

Don't get me wrong though.. I do sometimes take the long way to changing my mind and spirit. And may partake in a glass of Moscato, or two, or four. LOL

Great verse! I cling to God in times of trouble. But that thinking made me want to grab him in neutral times as well so He doesn't allow something terrible to happen to bring me back to Him. Kind of the other side of the crazy coin. Lol. I have no problem with Kirk. He makes some great music! Of course everything won't resonate with everybody but I like him!

@P.S. Girl I can't stop laughing at your second comment! That erased whatever I was gonna say before! Bwhahahahahahahaahahahha!

@Jameil Thanks! I just lucked up on that scripture this week and was like oh yeah I remember this!

I feel the same way. I want to keep a prayerful spirit so that I won't have to be made to pray.

I hear so much negative about Kirk Franklin beyond his music. But I can still get the message. Glad you can too!

@ P.S. It's still really hard for me to change my mind set. I'm ready for things to be good for once and that has not happened yet! It gets so frustrating. I will be so happy when I get to the place where I feel really blessed!

Deliverance Is Available and All I Need are two more praise songs that stir my soul. I can't really say that I have heard many Kirk Franklin songs in my day, besides maybe two or three.

"Do not let your heart be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me" is a scripture from John that has remained in my heart.

@Don Do you know who sings the songs you mentioned? They both sound like really good praise songs! Did you listen to the KF one I posted and if so what did you think?

That's a great scripture! I'm trying not to let my heart be troubled...
