It's Sunday How bout a scripture and a song?

2 weeks ago I posted about the feeling I used to get when Sunday came. Loving church came natural to me. My grandmother was Very religious and went to church every Sunday, only listened to gospel music and only wore dresses!

My mother was what I would call a reluctant christian. We went to church because it was what our family did, and we all churched together. But our home life was completely different. To use a phrase coined by Jameil we were a family of holyghost pumpkins. LOL! Love it will use it forever!

Then one day it all changed. My mother visited a church for a revival they were having and BOOM!!! She was saved, and our lives changed forever. It became all church all the time. We left our family church and begin attending the "revival" church. It was cool and had lots of young people so I fell in love with going there.

Since it was all gospel all the time in the house and car, I began to appreciate gospel music on a whole new level. Around that time Karen Clark Sheard came out with a solo album and on it she had re-recorded Jesus is a Love Song! Originally recorded by her and her sisters.
What?? a love song to Jesus! Yassss!

Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Please pause the music player below, click the link and enjoy the awesome voice that is Karen Clark Sheard.

I'm deeply in need of a revival. My bible reading has stalled a bit. I'm still reading daily but it's not as easy as it was in the beginning. Plus I haven't been to church in months... probably close to a year. It's ridiculously difficult to find a non-swindling, teaching church.

@Jameil Well at least you are still reading everyday. That's something.
It's hard to find the right church! Have you prayed and asked God for direction??

I feel much the same way. My quest for a new church has stopped. The one's I've visited so far were a joke. I need a revival too! I realize I need to pray and ask God for direction as well!
