Episode 506

The Daryl and Carol Episode

Protect yourself at all times... I don't know why I wanted to say this. Lol! If you saw Lottery Ticket you'll remember that Ice Cube's character 'Mr. Washington' said that phrase.

This episode was a little slow, but I was glad to see the focus back on main characters of the show that I love.

1. The opening confirmed that you don't need to be alone during the zombie apocalypse! Carol seemed so lonely, isolated. Glad to see that she was going back to the prison after her banishment, which I thought Rick was wrong for anyway.

2. All this time I thought the  + on the back of the kidnap cars was some type of sinister religious cult marking, instead it's for the hospital?

3. How do the walkers know that live people are in the cars? Can they smell through the glass? Is it the warmth of the car? They just come up and start beating on the windows. Ugh!

4. The shelter Daryl and Carol were in seemed pretty clean... I still don't get why nobody looks for water to shower/wash up. I want to see some showering! Not like that lol (my germ-a-phobe clean freak self would not make it)

5. Okay... I was confused at first about who Daryl had wrapped and carried to be burned. I missed the child the first go round. Did the woman and child remind Carol of herself and Sophia? Did she want them put out of their misery? What is the fire all about? I thought once you stabbed the brain that was it? Then the flash back to the burial of "Miss Look At The Flowers" Lizzie and sis. They were wrapped too. How is it connected?

Side note: I guess they looked kinda clean when they left the shelter so maybe they did wash up. That place did have a water jug for drinking in that office so it's likely there was water elsewhere too.

6. Kinda freaked about the walker camp out. How did that happen? It was kinda funny. Especially the ones trapped in the zipped tents.

7. Carol in that office with Daryl looking at that painting basically telling him "you don't know my life," and him more or less replying "oh but I do."

8. Umm... EverybodyHatesChris/Noah - taking Daryl's crossbow?? Boy you made a Big MISTAKE! If Daryl had left him to be eaten it would've served him right.

9. The careen off the bridge in the van was sooo WTF? to me. They could've died!!! And Carol got hurt! It was very Thelma and Louise we gon' die together! Wait, and the walkers falling from the sky onto the van like in "The Happening" lol

10. Carol is looking really worn down. All those flashbacks this episode seemed like they are leading up to something... BUT WHAT? You know when they get to flashing back you're about to exit.

11. Noah and Daryl to the rescue for Beth?

12. So the question is answered about if Carol was really hurt or was just pretending to come save Beth. :(

13. Carol being hit by the car was a bit startling.(Man down!) In a way I'm glad she's in the hospital to at the very least rest, get treatment and heal, as long as Dawn doesn't start slapping with her ol' slapping azz.

Episode 505

Again another episode... not focusing on my people...

1. This band of characters is really of no interest to me besides Glen and Maggie. Still curious about why Maggie left without knowing what's going on with Beth. Maybe she thinks she's dead. This episode I would have preferred to see what was going on with Rick and crew or Carol's arrival at the hospital then they could have shown this episode.

2. OMG! I cannot believe that fool (Eugene) put crushed glass in the bus tank??? He could have kept flattening the tires! I'm certain there was not an abundance of bus tires in that town.  When the fuel tank blew I jumped! He could have killed everyone. He should have just told them he was a fake BEFORE they left Rick. Rick might not have let Abraham kill him.

3. I know the zombie infection is airborne now, but isn't the infection in the blood too? Every zombie movie I've seen it is, so Abraham's open wound coming in contact with infected blood, I foresee a turnin' a comin'. lol

4. Eugene! Ol' mullet wearin', no fightin',  super creepy Rob Lowe  creep! 0_0 Watching people have sex? C'mon man! Actually they could've left that scene out all together. lol

5. When Abraham drove the firetruck forward and the focus was on the door for a minute I wasn't surprised to see those walkers come out the building. It was clear the firetruck had been a barrier for something. When that lone tire came rolling out I briefly thought it might be humans. #optimistic lol

6. The firetruck hose scene was disgusting. For some reason I started thinking of the 60s (maybe it was the preview of Selma!) It made me cringe thinking about the civil rights movement and the pain people experienced being hosed. :( Weird connection I know, but that's where my mind went.

7. I KNEW THAT SCIENTIST WAS A FRAUD! Then I thought okay... maybe Eugene does know the cure. He sure talked a good game.  Now I'm mad he didn't know. I was kinda hoping there would be a happy ending to the apocalypse... but I guess not.

Side note: I'm glad I don't read the comics since Eugene being a fake was in the there.

8. If Abraham did kill Eugene he deserves to die. Especially for having Glen and Maggie leave the safety of their group for the promise of a fake cure. Ugh!

Abe clocked that dude so hard, he was knocked out standing up!

KNOCKED OUT STANDING UP!!!!!!!!

Then Eugene hit that asphalt so hard face first! He might not be as "smart" if he comes to.

9. I can't believe there are only 3 episodes left. Why do they keep doing this to us? Just when you get in deep...snatch!

Thoughtfully Thought-Out Thursday Thoughts #67

 

1. November is here! It's Thanksgiving month and I’m so ready  to cook and eat dinner! I think I'm going traditional with a twist. Not sure about the twist yet.  Have you started planning your meal?

 2. There was an incident at a pizza place. The register rung up the wrong amount and did not honor the total discount on the coupon I was trying to use. When I brought the issue to the cashier's attention she was extremely ghetto about it and kinda waved her hand toward me like she was brushing me off or shooing me away and walked off. In my mind I was like "here we go!" First of all, I had a legitimate issue and "ghetto booboo" almost sent me to my angry place and got snatched up. (okay she did send me to my angry place, but I didn’t reach across the counter like I wanted to)  Long story short, I didn’t snatch her. The manager got involved and I was able to tell GBB that SHE shouldn’t be in customer service with her attitude and behavior and I took my business elsewhere. She will remember me! But why did it have to come to that? What happened to good customer service?

3. I went to two Haunted Houses on Halloween and I ran and screamed so loud going through them! LOL! One of the houses was so dark we had to use a flashlight to see our way through. I AM AFRAID OF THE DARK! That was almost a huge mistake for the people in the house. The characters couldn’t touch you, but they got so close I almost hit one with the flashlight. It was completely hilarious! I also bruised my shoulder because I ran into a door trying to get out of the dark house. These places were set up like real abandoned homes with monsters and killers! Why did I go to that? lol

4. Been hearing a lot about curried goat for awhile. I finally want to try it. My meat categories are pretty basic. I like fish, crab, lobster, shrimp, clams, scallops, beef, poultry and pig. Das it! Goat, lamb and other gamey meat are not on the list. Although I recently ate a lamb soup at the jobs cafeteria that was tasty.

5. I was absolutely mortified this past Sunday when I logged on Twitter. That was my 2^nd time reporting someone to Twitter for shutdown. I hope that disgusting pervert who posted p.orn  of a baby is arrested and jailed. That was the worst thing I’ve ever seen and I cried. The memory is still in my head. Update: I read he was questioned and had a lot of explaining to do. Stupid kid thought that ish was a joke. What is wrong with people??

 6. Also, on Twitter… there's a picture of a white couple “jumping the broom” at their wedding. I just… WHY? Do they even fathom the meaning of the custom?  We really can’t have nothing. 

 7. This week was election week and basically nobody voted so now the G.OP controls both houses. Poor Pre.sident O.bama. He needs ALL the prayers for strength for his last 2 years! The criticism of p.residency is largely due to battles with congress. In a perfect world we would have had a democratic p.resident with a d.emocratic c.ongress and s.enate. He would have gotten SO MUCH done. The whole country could be dancing, but nah.

8. I follow a lot of fashion/beauty people on "white" Twitter. Y'all would be so surprised at how much appropriation I read everyday. I want to retweet the stuff I read, but I mostly just *eyeroll*

This episode was hard to post about. It’s too something and I’m not sure what, so I’ll go with strange. Honestly, I don't think every episode can be super exciting. We need the lull breaks.

1. Well we finally know where Beth is, but I’m still confused about what happened to her, how she got there etc. Seems like I was the only one concerned anyway lol

2. It doesn't make sense for them to tell Beth that she was found on the side of the road unconscious surrounded by walkers and she's not a zombie. Wouldn't the walkers have eaten her? Those people are totally lying. We saw her kidnapped! The question now is WHO did it? I think Rapey was trolling for victims.

3. “You owe us for everything, we saved you.” Um?

4. This hospital set up is weird, but super clean. I need Rick and the crew to come through and kill everybody and take over! Okay, maybe not everybody. If EverybodyHatesChris/Noah was not there they could kill everybody.Just seems like a group of crazies who need to die. *shrugs*

5. What’s up with this lady cop Dawn tho? So she’s just beating folks and making slaves for the greater good? Oh.

6. Rapey cop. That’s a good name for this guy! Glad the one he’s been raping ate his azz! Did you see her smile while she was biting him? Are the walkers starting to remember their lives?

7. Survival of the fittest for real with that murdering doctor. Got Beth out here assassinating people.

8. I’m actually concerned about Beth again. Go figure. I want Noah/Chris to live too!

9. Carol IS HERE!!! This story just switched. It’s about to be ON!

10. They totally left us hanging about the scene from last week with Daryl coming out of the trees. I hope Carol is not really hurt.

Thoughtfully Thought-Out Thursday Thoughts #66

 

1. I try to play the lottery when it’s a large amount. I would love to win 250 million dollars. Wouldn’t you? The most I’ve won lately is $12. I WANT TO WIN!!!

2. It’s so funny; this year has been about lessons. I've learned if you don’t keep taking care of your hair after it grows long it will thin out. I also learned stress will cause your hair to fall out too! Now I’m trying to thicken it back up and keep stress down by deep breathing and not internalizing what's bothering me.

3. American Horror Story - Freak show is not as good as AHS Murder House.  That was the best one to me, so far.

4. I had the bright idea that since I’ve worked close to most of my jobs that EYE wanted to work in San Francisco, but here’s what I didn’t factor in... THE COMMUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!  OMG! The commute is horrible. Like the worst thing ever kinda horrible!

a.There and back horrible! 

b.1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes mostly sitting in traffic horrible! 

c.Rude drivers horrible! I mean literally get out your car in rush hour traffic and CUT A B*TCH horrible.

d.I asked this white woman nicely (both of our windows were down) if I could get over and that bitch very rudely told me no and then said, “fuck you!” My head almost exploded, but I was trapped. I couldn’t get to her. I drove forward 2 cars and got over. but my morning was ruined. I stayed mad about that "fuck you" most of the day. To be honest I was more mad because I let everybody in when I'm on the bridge. You can get stuck in lanes when trying to maneuver through the traffic so I get it! But for her to be so rude? UGH! If I ever see that bitch in the black Bronco truck IT’S ON! I mention her race for total shock value. I WAS SHOCKED!  And remain so to this day. White people are crazy and she was totally bold because she was in rush hour traffic on a bridge at 6 am.

Whew! I had to get that out!

5. I’m all about learning the natural lifestyle. I’ve done a lot of internet research and I just want to be at optimum health. – Juicing, cleansing, vitamins, clean eating, natural products. I’ll see how this goes.

6. I really want some white angel wings like Chrisette Michelle had on RnB DivaLA. Like really walk around in real life with them on, not just Halloween.

7. Speaking of Halloween…I hate/love to be scared. I love watching scary movies and TV shows, but HATE being scared. We are going to a haunted house and I guess as long as no one touches me  while trying to scare me it’s good.  Still my fave.

Side note: When did Halloween become all about black face for white people? *sigh* UGH! The frustration is just overwhelming.

8. I’m working on being a nicer, kinder, gentler me. I was told that I’m mean lately. I think I’m still angry about some things and I have to work through it.

9. The SF GIANTS WON THE WORLD SERIES last night and I was in a bar watching! It was soooooooooooo fun!!  Since I work in SF I got the F outta there because I already knew…win or lose SF was going to be TURNT UP!!!!!!!!! And traffic home would be even worse than the mornings.

10. I’m really into ethnic food lately. My food of choice is Cuban. GET YOU SOME!

11. Anybody going to see Dear White People? If you go let me know so we can discuss it, K?

Season 5 Episode 3

This episode started off pretty scary! The close ups of the trapped walkers...

I figured Bob had been bitten in that food bank! I wondered why he walked off alone and was crying. I guess we have our answer about them making room for Morgan. Can't have too many black men on the show. :/

Tainted meat! Bob is tainted meat! And Terminus ate some of him! That's what they get! LOL! I hope they all turn.

Wait so Gareth released the trapped walkers and they went straight to the church? They must be the parishioners Gabriel was talking about.

They threw Bob back but he's bitten #RIPBOB

In the confrontation with Rick, Abraham said, "do not lay hands" that was symbolic huh? Him being named Abraham and all. lol

Fun fact: One of my coworkers looks like Sasha.

Tyreese is too big to be playing this wimp. I can't take it! Sasha left her knife with him and he better use it if necessary.

Aww man so they went for the school and Gareth came for the church!!! I'm so nervous!! They came into the church a little too easy. I hope Rick and the gang doubles back!!! Please!!!

I KNEW Judith was going to cry!!! ARGH!!!
