Just a thought....

On a day like this...

I would like to escape to a place like this...

I would like to wear this...
shout out to Anya

Smelling like this...
Maybe sitting on one of the lounge chairs eating this

Ode to key lime pie
Dear key lime pie your creamy tart deliciousness makes me swoon.
I could eat your yummy chilled goodness every day week,
but I won’t because you will make me fat. I love you. GP

With the holidays basically here I don't know why I'm thinking about Summer vacation! It must be the  gloomy shorter days, or the Pisces in me that's always dreaming of getting away.

I seriously want to go somewhere beautiful for Summer 2012, like an exotic island or wonderful foreign country. A friend of a friend is in Costa Rica right now and I think that's fabulous! I anticipate the day when I can just pick up and fly off to an exotic destination on a whim. Are any of you taking a fabulous trip next year?

Her makeup is gorg! So I added this as an afterthought.

Thoughtfully...Thought-Out....Thursday...Thoughts #54

1. Can you just imagine the viruses and microorganisms that are flowing from all the people dipping into that chocolate falls at the Gol.den C.orral? Every time I see the commercial I BLECH! I personally HATE buffets with the exception of  brunches at nice hotels where the dude cooks made to order omelets and the Bellagio.  It is a sight to behold!

2. I am so excited about Thanksgiving this year! every year lol I’m trying to figure out how to incorporate seafood into our traditional meals with shrimp, crab and lobster. I suggested this at our planning meeting. I received this - - and this O_O! I need my fam to evolve. Doesn’t Lobster Mac & Cheese sound yummy?? Thanksgiving dinner Menu coming soon.

3. What shows are ya’ll watching this season?? So far I’m into The Walking Dead, Grimm, Revenge, Happy Endings, Parenthood, The Good Wife and Grey’s. Thank goodness for onDemand.

4. Isn’t it funny how 4 years can be a longtime or a short time depending on the situation and person? For example, somebody graduating high school has different memories from someone entering high school. Those 4 years can sometimes seem like a lifetime in regards to memories, especially when you become an adult. I don’t remember that! Stop getting mad!

5. The Muppet movie seems like it’s going to be cute! Who is your favorite Muppet character?  I think I like that crazy thing that used to beat the drums and those sarcastic old men in the balcony. How funny is it that Cee Lo's song is the trailer theme? It's catchy funny. We usually go see whatever movie is playing on Thanksgiving. We didn't go last year, so Muppets on deck! LOL!

6. I enjoy the perfume gift sets Sep.hora puts together for the holidays. Actually, I enjoy holiday gift sets in general, getting more for your money? YAS!

7.There is a delicious spiced cider at Tra.der Jo.e's. Get you some! Drinking hot spiced cider was a favorite part of Halloween for me! Speaking of holiday drinks... it's eggnog season!!!!! Yaaaaaaay!!

8. I am shocked just like the rest of the world at Heavy D’s sudden death! I went to his twitter and noticed he gave condolences and RIP to Joe Frazier who passed away one day before. How is it that eighteen hours later he's dead too?!? I’m still stunned. I liked him because his music was fun! The radio station here did a GREAT tribute. Their old school mix everyday at noon is bangin too!

9. Seen and heard! This dress HERE is $300 Why?? Somebody please tell me Why?? And how is it sold out? Also, please read the 2 reviews! They have to be kidding! Walking around here with a piece of my Easter dress from when I was 8 attached. Sir, your dress is ugly! Denise's Gordon Gatrell looked better! LOL!

*It's Sunday. How bout a scripture and a song?

Scripture:
Ezekiel 37:9
Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

I used to pray on the regular, meaning every morning at 6 am. Having a prayer life was essential to having a close relationship with God for me. However, praying every day was sometimes boring, tedious and tiresome, but it was like an unspoken rule of my churches religion. You also had to pray for a certain length of time. So some mornings I needed motivation to get started. This song would get me to my worship place. Once I got started prayer was okay!
Song:

It was easy to call on God and thank him for his many blessings, pray for my loved ones, and of course ask him for help when needed.

At present, that seems like a lifetime ago. It's funny how lifestyles can change for better or worse. I was once a devoted church girl where everything was a sin and everybody was a heathen! I knew the confines of my religion were not quite right, but it's all I knew. Although I don't want that anymore, I do feel like a lost wandering soul. I still yearn for the peace and comfort that comes from having a close relationship with God, a regular prayer life, and a church home. It has been far too long. This time when I find IT I know there is a balance needed because I will have been full circle.

Please pause the player below and listen to the song.

Thoughtfully...Thought-Out....Thursday...Thoughts #53

This one is I heavy. You have been warned…

1. I've never heard the perspective of a man be so poignant and candid about abortion. If y’all are not up on the deepness of Don over at Minus the Bars you better get in the know son!

2. I like to drink my Jell-O after it’s all melty and I can slurp it down. I hope that did not sound gross. If it did *shrugs* It reminds me of Kool-Aid which I love! Speaking of Kool-Aid I tried to make some with Sple.nda.  No ma'am! No sir!

3. I’ve gotten so use to tweeting from my phone I hold the keys down on the on the laptop keyboard extra hard expecting them to capitalize. When they don’t … O_o! Can you imagine how whack that is while typing?

4. As you can see I’ve changed my blog layout. What I like most is the gray and white zigzags. There’s something exotic about the print. It’s sunny and bright which is great! Last year I Google diagnosed myself with S.A.D.  and one of the treatments is light therapy. Now my blog will be even more enjoyable to look at during the dreary winter months. However, it’s still a work in progress so I’m open to feedback.

5. I had my picture as my avatar on this blog over the weekend and went around blog land commenting on a few posts. I had no idea my picture would remain on said comments. One blogger said and I quote “Wow Gorgeous you’re gorgeous.” Umm sir? If you say that… we go together! LOL!

6. I believe I’ve posted 2 foodie posts, 2 hair posts, (feel free to check them out) and 3 regular posts since last Friday. I’m also catching up on reading blogs… so look for me in your hood!

7. I’ve written a few poems over  the coarse of my lifetime. One is titled “I Smell Your Weed Through My Window” *snap, snap, snap snap*

8. The powers that be shut down all public transportation and closed offices in Oakland yesterday because it was on and poppin with #occupyoakland.  Cali is clearly a next level protesting state. But the pol.ice are the ones acting crazy!

9. Did anybody see Latrice on I. Used. To. Be. Fat? She was absolutely hilarious to me. I loved her personality. I really wanted her to win at weight loss! But umm the great aunt??  She was very blunt like my aunt. If you don’t have a thick skin and choose to believe what she says is out of love her words would kill you dead. Yup, the same aunt that I love so much.

10. OMG!! The coats at J Crew this season are Amazing! I love a good coat.  Especially the wool. Have a look HERE

11. I toured the campus of my new school. Yes, I took the campus tour. It was exciting! I’m siked!

12.The abomination that is the McRi.b Why McD.onald’s Why??? Do you think it would be called the McRob or McRub at McDowell’s?? LOL! Oh and they clearly did not get my tweet about winning the million during Monopoly. I only won some fries.

13. Seen and Heard I think I posted this last year but it still cracks me up. People are just so creative! Happy Belated Halloween!
