The 83rd annual Academy Awards airs this Sunday and I'm so excited! I've pretty much watched all the award shows this season and they were pretty good.

My tradition was to see ALL of the movies nominated after the award show to see if the academy got it right or were they trippin like they have at times in the past! Jameil says they dress up and party for the show. I think that's a fabulous idea!

1. I love when people use words I've never used before. There are many words in the world and I get tingley when I hear a new one. I always incorporate the new word into my vocabulary. I LOVE WORDS!!!!!!

6. I was thinking of taking a break from TV from the 27th - the 5th and just reading. I need a break, but maybe I'll take a 3 day break!
7. I love chocolate flavored Cheerios! They are soooooooooooo deelish. I can’t eat regular flavor or Honey Nut they both make me want to vomit, feel like vomiting and sometimes really vomit. I’ve stopped trying to eat those flavors heart healthy or not! Banana is next on my list to try but I’m scared!
8. I wish the colors/fashions were reversed for Spring and Fall, I haven't thought it through and I don’t know why or how that would work, but I want to keep wearing my sexy boots and somehow not look like a hooker in the bright, bright sun! LOL!
9. Just because its almost spring please do not pull out your lime green, yellow, hot pink leather jacket with matching boots. I don’t want to see orange either. Ummkay! I really see this type of stuff here!
10.Why did my mother tell me she ordered us all (that would be me, my sisters and herself) Sha.ke Wei.ghts for Christmas! Then she said she got one especially for me mama u callin me fat? since I workout, but then she thought about how we reacted towards the leatherette jackets 2 Christmases ago, so she changed her mind. I want my Shake Weight. Shoo! Give me my Shake Weight! LOL!

This Sunday I'm reaching back to 1998. John P. Kee had a cd out called Strength. The song I chose is a remake of a true classic "Lord Help Me to Hold Out" The songs he sang on this cd covered many of the areas Christians get weak in that require Strength.
Waiting on change and patience is definitely an area I could use some strength and help. *smile*

1.My Bieber fever had me defending him on Twitter on Gra.mmy night. I was really enjoying reading the commentary about the show. Shout out to K. Rock and Jameil’s boo. Very funny stuff! Then someone(not them) called him a bish!?! I was like...Whaat? but he’s just a kid.... how can you say that? Then I remembered it was Twitter. Girl stop! to myself. But, it does trip me out about all the hate he gets. His story really is heart warming. However, the Real Bieber STANS need to calm down! He didn't win! Get over it! He's 16 and has plenty of other opportunities to win!
2.Why did an elderly woman who fed bears outside her home get killed when she tried to break up a conflict between the two bears? WHO DOES THAT????? This was on Fa.tal Attra.ctions on Ani.mal Pla.net. This made me cry…. laughin when I read the show caption. Why did this little old woman think she could stop two bears from fighting??TWO BEARS!! WHY????????? Did she really think because she fed them they would listen to her?? We will never know. Why because she’s DEAD! Why are people SO crazy?? I did catch the show when it replayed.. It was VERY sad! I am still alarmed that bears eat people! Why bears why?? Oh yeah, don’t feed the bears is REAL!! Don’t feed them! Unless you need to distract them while you get the heck outta there! *pours out for the old lady*
3.Okay this phenom of showcasing talented homeless people REALLY??? Them being homeless does not make them less human. They can be smart, sing and have good voices. They just need a place to live, possible mental health care, and rehab. Geez!
4.In addition to my spelling, grammar and syntax issues, dyslexia is trying to set in with my writing. I need some type of writing workshop intervention STAT! LOL!
5.Both of these commercials, sings *four times the steaaaaaaaak* and * a new dawn, a new daaaaaaaaaaay* Please get out of my head!
6.If I don’t get something Le Creuset soon I might pass out!! LOL! Question: would it be wrong to buy a replacement Le Creuset knob and put it on a different pot?? Answer: wrong and ghetto. I want all the small stuff like the pitcher, utensil crock, spoon rest etc. I also like the weird stuff like the wok dish, or 2 ramekins, or 2 petite oval au gratin dishes. I could go on, but I won’t. Anyhoo, My kitchen theme is red and I have a birthday coming in March! Jus sayin!

8.This cleanse is bringing clarity to my life! From here on out I reject negativity in my life. I like this Zen place. When practically starving you don’t want/need to hear mess! I learned that I really do use food for comfort. Some crazy things happened and I wanted to eat, but because I couldn’t, I had to deal with them. It was strange… More on that later. remind me

I ordered these FAB shoes from Jessica Simpson.com. I am VERY excited!!! They are the much sought after DANY platform! The heel is 5.5 inches! Excellent for a shortie like me. I can't wait to finally tower over some of my friends!

I think today is going to suck! I have tried to put on a brave face, but every time I think about it I feel all panicky and sad. I mentioned that getting through the holidays was rough and it was, but as Valentine's Day approached I've gotten more and more anxious.
I don't want to hang out with friends, I don't want to hang out with my sister, and I don't want to hang out with some dude I just met. V-day is special. It always has been to me. I like dressing in red, be it a red dress, a red blouse or a pop of red from my shoes. I always wear something red on that day. I liked waiting for what the day would bring. I like going to dinner at a nice restaurant and being out with all the other couples in love. I like shopping for lingerie. I like the attention. So yeah this Valentine's Day is going to suck! NOT! LOL!

One of the best Valentine's Day I ever had started with theCaptain bringing me gifts to my job. I'm at work minding my own business, working. We had already spoken earlier that morning and I was seeing him that night. So around 10:00 am he called me again and said come outside. I was like okay. I came out, looked around and didn't see anything. Then I hear the roar of his work truck as it was coming around the corner. I look and he is hanging off the side of the truck with my flowers in one hand andhanging on with the other. He jumps off the truck before it comes to a complete stop grinning and all pleased with himself.
He starts walking toward me in his work uniform, all fresh cut, shaved looking and smelling so good! He really surprised me! I could not stop smiling and laughing and clapping like a dang seal.
I wish this seal was smiling. LOL!
As he is walking up to me... I ran up to him and hugged and hugged him and then we kissed. It was so romantic and special. Very "Officer and a Gentleman." and Pretty Womanish
I saw these movies and have been in love with the final scenes ever since. I'm not sure if we saw them together, but I was shocked that he fulfilled this secret fantasy for me. He brought flowers, a teddy bear, candy and a card. That V-day we didn't go out to a restaurant. I wanted to cook for him! He had spent so much, and had made my LIFE!!! at the time. I even told him, "you made my life today!"
That Valentine's Day will always be a very special memory for me. With a little tiny bit of sadness in my heart, I am also smiling at the memory as I type this.
But with faith I hold on to the FACT that my love for this day will not be in vain. I WILL be able to share another Happy Valentine's Day story. P.S. This is my last woe is me story about THIS!

I went to K. Rock's food blog Food Stamp (check it out!) She has a post about a foodie meet up she went to in the ATL. It sounded so interesting to me, so I did a search for some meet ups in the Bay. I found a few BUT the one I was interested in required you have a food blog to join.
Uhhh guess who has a food blog now????? MEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee LOL! It's was a walking blog I previously had that I never kept up with. I just changed the title and focus.
I linked it to my main blog. I now have 3 blogs! GEEZ! I KNOW!! However, I did want a place to talk about restaurants, share recipes and showcase food I cook. Yes there will be pics! I'm so excited!!!

9.Good News!!! My toenail has completely healed. I can get a pedicure for Valentines day. Red toe nails here I come! Yaay! I haven’t had a nail salon pedi since maybe October. I did home maintenance but there is NOTHING like a salon pedi to me! I want this pedicure to last!! I'm taking the best topcoat in the world Seche Vite to the salon. I've told everybody about this stuff. I need to be a spokesperson! This stuff is amazing, and dries super fast!! It's like a gel topcoat in a bottle, but still thin like a topcoat. Go. Get. You. Some!
10. Greek yogurt is the thing now. You know something has caught on when mainstream products make some. I see you Dan.non By the way, greek yogurt is healthy, creamy yumminess!!
